Baiyun New Town

Baiyun New Town (simplified Chinese: 白云新城 Bai Yun Xin Cheng) is an emerging central business district (CBD) in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, China, nestled around the former Baiyun Airport, with planned area of 9.22 square kilometers.

The CBD consists of six new communities: Huangshi (simplified Chinese: 黄石), Xiaogang (simplified Chinese: 萧岗), Jichang (Airport) (simplified Chinese: 机场), Yunshan (simplified Chinese: 云山), Chuangyi (simplified Chinese: 创意) and Keziling (simplified Chinese: 柯子岭).

In addition to the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center (simplified Chinese: 白云国际会议中心) and the New Guangzhou Gymnasium (simplified Chinese: 广州体育馆), four new buildings are scheduled to increase the number of cultural outlets in this area, including an Exhibition Center, the Guangdong Painting Academy(simplified Chinese: 广东画院), and the Guangzhou Museum (simplified Chinese: 广州历史博物馆).
